Rashawn Fredericks of the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team intends to transfer after the departure of head coach Mick Cronin to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) earlier this week.
And the first casualty of Mick Cronin leaving Cincinnati in the transfer portal is … Rashawn Fredricks. Played about 10 minutes per game this past season.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) April 11, 2019
A 6-foot-5 junior forward who transferred to UC from Motlow State Community College in Tennessee, Fredericks averaged 2.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 10.3 minutes in his only season with the Bearcats.
Thank you Cincinnati 🙏🏾— Rashawn Fredericks (@RashawnF10) April 11, 2019
Fredericks was named to the 2017-18 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) First Team All-American team. His UC career lasts less than a full calendar year, as he signed on April 24, 2018.
