University of Alabama football player Kyriq McDonald will transfer to the University of Cincinnati after visiting campus last Thursday, as first reported by Chad Brendel of BearcatJournal.

McDonald, a defensive back who participated on special teams for the Crimson Tide in 2018, was regarded as a 3-star recruit and the No. 49 cornerback in the class of 2017 by 247Sports.com. He appeared in 11 games last season and recorded seven tackles.

McDonald redshirted his freshman year at Alabama and will have three years of eligibility remaining at UC.
