Vine street shooting

A shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Short Vine Street near the University of Cincinnati Monday April 29, 2019.

The University of Cincinnati Department of Public Safety sent an alert to students, faculty and staff Monday afternoon regarding a shooting near campus.

The incident occurred in the 2900 block of Short Vine Street outside of Domino's Pizza, two blocks away from the east side of the Uptown West Campus.

A 36-year old man was shot in the leg and transported to the UC Medical Center, according to Cincinnati Police. The injury is considered non-life-threatening.

Police said the suspect is a man last seen driving a green four-door sedan with two women, one of whom appeared to be pregnant. According to another UC Alert, the suspects fled southbound on Vine Street in a light-blue Ford Explorer with temporary tags.

There is no threat to campus, according to UC Public Safety.
