The University of Cincinnati’s men’s basketball team defeated the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins 93-64 Wednesday evening at Fifth Third Arena.
Junior guard Jarron Cumberland poured in a game-high 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting to go along with five rebounds.
Sophomore guard Keith Williams added 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and four assists.
UCLA was led by guard Kris Wilkes, who finished with 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
The Bruins' 7-foot-1 freshman Moses Brown added 12 points and six rebounds.
UC won the rebounding category 38-25 and shot a significantly higher percentage than UCLA at 52-40. The Bearcats also forced 14 turnovers, while committing six.
In their last meeting on Dec. 16, 2017, UC defeated UCLA 77-63 at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
