New Chief explains beginning with News Record

Freshmen flock to UC at record numbers for 2007-08 school year
The University of Cincinnati student enrollment has increased to more than 36,500 students, which is a thousand more students than the 2006-07 school year. UC student, professor develop humorous robot software
What's black and white and read all over? Sure, it's not the funniest joke around, but two researchers in the engineering department are relying on jokes like this one to create a "bot" that can recognize humor.
Julia Taylor, a doctoral student and Larry Mazlack, associate professor in the electrical and computer engineering department, have teamed up to put together the bot, which is actually software spread over several computers.…
