The student loan market is getting harder to navigate, thanks in part to the decision by some lenders to get out of the student loan business in addition to the growth of the alternative loan market. Alternative loans (sometimes referred to as private loans) have risen in popularity in the last seven years and often come into play when there is a gap between educational costs and traditional financial aid.
Sarah Ammann, the assistant director of campaign events announced the cancellation of the Evening with Theodore Bikel. "I regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, it is necessary to cancel the Department of Judaic Studies event on Saturday, May 10th, honoring Theodore Bikel," Ammann said.
Nearly 47 million Americans, about 16 percent of the total population, are without health insurance, according to the National Coalition on Health Care, a non-partisan coalition of 70 groups representing or employing more than 150 million Americans. Among that 47 million are more than eight million young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are without health insurance.
With the departure of the graduating seniors, University of Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin signed four new recruits to play for his 2008-09 men's basketball team. Cronin signed Yancy Gates and Cashmere Wright to play for the Bearcats on Nov. 14, 2007.
