Firefighter and police were called to the Hebrew Union College on Clifton Avenue Wednesday after a suspicious white powder was found on the college's campus and across the street in Burnett Woods.

"There was white powder and different colored powder all over campus and Burnett Woods," said Lt. Roger Wolf of the Cincinnati Police. Fearing the substance was toxic, police cordoned off the area and after some investigation determined there was no foul play at hand.

The powder came from a running club that marks their route with flour.

The Hash House Harriers, a running club with 1,700 groups around the world, ran in Burnett Woods Tuesday night for their "Rash Hash Hana" run, which coincides with the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashana.

"We've run around UC many times before and this has never happened," said a member of the club who wished to remain anonymous because of his position in the city.
